High Mounted Lightweight Rucksack

So the initial post on the Vietnam era Lightweight Rucksack was a little long so I thought I would do the alternate mounting in a separate post. As the war went on and the Lightweight Rucksack saw continued use troops began mounting it more frequently to the top of the frame. Recon units seem to do this the earliest and the most, but by 1969 most pictures of rucksacks show it high on the frame. Unless you are carrying large bulky items it is a much more comfortable and streamlined way to use the ruck. To see how I set this one up click HERE.
