Book Review. Realized I hadn’t done one of these in a while. Actually thought I had done Grunt Gear a long time ago but I guess not. Grunt Gear by Alec S. Tulkoff is probably the gold standard for WWII USMC equipment reference books. It covers virtually everything the marines wore or used on WWII. The downside is that since it is covering so much material it doesn’t go into much depth on anything. I’m amazed at how this book goes for now. It was always pricey but now it’s just exorbitant. So if you ever come across one for around $100 buy it. (Well as long as it’s not beat to hell).
